Crystal Cove Cottages - At The Edge
At the Edge by John Connell
"At The Edge" features a turquoise picket fence that is installed between the beach and a hidden ramshackle house. The color of the fence, as I saw it years ago, is echoed in turquoise posts supporting the nearby house (featured in the 1988 movie, "Beaches," starring Bette Midler). The hand-made fence, painted in a color more often used by artists than by fence painters, is typical of artistic touches by Crystal Cove residents.
